Versatile and flexible
AudioFire 8 is the perfect center piece for your digital audio recording studio. It offers the same high quality hardware and software found in our popular Layla3G product with the flexibility of Firewire. It's a 24-bit 96 kHz digital audio recording interface with ultra low-latency monitoring on any Windows XP/Vista/Win 7 or Mac OS X (10.4 or later) computer with a FireWire port.
Total I/Os: 16 ins & 16 outs
AudioFire 8 has two universal inputs with microphone preamps located on the front of the unit with phantom power to meet your microphone's specifications, trim knobs for volume control and two channel inserts located in the back of the unit for additional effects, such as compressor, EQ, Reverb etc. The six remaining balanced analog line inputs and eight balanced analog outputs are located on the back of the unit. In addition, ADAT I/O (8 digital audio channels), S/PDIF I/O (coaxial and optical), MIDI I/O and WordClock to sync multiple AudioFires are also all on the back of the unit. AudioFire 8 has one stereo headphone output and 2 FireWire ports so you daisy chain two Audiofire 8s for a total of 32 channels.

About Echo Audio:
Echo Digital Audio is a successful research and development organization, licensing its technology to larger companies while at the same time supplying its popular products and supporting software to end-users and other manufacturers in the pro audio, broadcast, test and measurement, and audio simulation markets. Echo began designing and manufacturing computer audio products over 30 years ago. The Company was a pioneer in the computer-based voice technology field in the 1980's; Echo's audio peripherals and speech compression were standard products in the education and special needs markets. In the 1990's Echo went on to design and manufacture the first multi-track recording products for the PC and Mac markets. Echo has licensed its DSP-based audio technology to several leading audio and semiconductor companies including: Gibson Guitar, Analog Devices, HP, Sony, Motorola, Peavey, Mackie, Carvin, and Dolby Laboratories. All the Company's technology is created in-house where the small, focused staff pays meticulous attention to perfecting digital audio at each step of the design process. Echo's hardware and software engineers have worked together for years delivering solutions that would typically require significantly greater resources and personnel. Echo has a following of loyal, discriminating customers who share its vision of never settling for anything less than first-rate quality - especially at modest price points. They appreciate the unique attention that goes into every facet of product development, from the sturdy, sleek industrial design of the metal cases, to the rock solid software drivers. Echo is a closely-held company, located in Santa Barbara, California, with a management team that has been in place for nearly 30 years.

Echo Audio warrants its products to be free from defects for 1 year from the date of purchase.
