The Keystation 61es is a 61-note USB keyboard with velocity-sensitive, semi-weighted keys that is designed to easily integrate in any computer music environment. Class-compliancy with Mac OS X and Windows XP delivers true plug-and-play setup. The Keystation 61es is also compatible with many music education and music creation software titles, making it ideal for classrooms and studios alike. More advanced users can control software synths, external sound devices, and more with the assignable slider, and pitch and mod wheels. This sleek, compact keyboard is USB bus-powered and requires no external power supply.
M-Audio has made an addition to their Keystation series of products--the Keystation 61es. This control solution unites a semi-weighted keyboard with simple USB connectivity to fill the needs of musicians.
Class compliancy under Windows XP or Mac OS X enables the user to get started immediately--no driver installation required. Simply plug in the USB cable, which also provides power to the unit, and the Keystation 61es is be ready to used with any MIDI application. Drivers are also included for Windows 95/98/Me/2000 and Mac OS 9.1 users. With the optional power supply, the Keystation 61es can also be used as a stand-alone controller for hardware synthesizers and more.
In addition to the 61 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys, the Keystation 61es includes a pitch wheel, assignable modulation wheel, assignable slider control, and assignable foot pedal jack. Additional functions include transposition and the ability to send program and bank change messages. Keystation 61es also ships with the Maximum Audio Tools software bundle (Keyboard Edition), which is designed to facilitate immediate music-making. The unit will be available in both musical instrument and consumer markets.

Pitch, modulation and other control sources
To the left of the Keystation 61es keyboard are a pitch and a modulation wheel for control of these essential synth and MIDI parameters. The volume slider offers a bonus - it can be assigned to control any other MIDI value! Use it to add expression or perform a filter sweep while you record a sequence. In addition, two advanced function buttons can be used to assign other MIDI messages.
USB power for convenience
The Keystation 61es runs on USB bus power when connected to your computer. That means you don't need anything but a USB cable for both power and MIDI transmission! For standalone use, an optional 9 volt DC power adapter is available.
Flexible enough to use as a standalone controller!
You don't need to limit the Keystation 61es to computer use. Its MIDI Out port means you can use it onstage to control rackmount synth modules or other gear. All you need is the optional 9 volt DC power adapter!
