NATIVE INSTRUMENTS AUDIO 4 DJ INTERFACE
It's a USB 2.0 audio interface optimized for use with TRAKTOR and similar DJ software.
AUDIO 4 DJ is based on the AUDIO 8 DJ, which is a more hilarious alphanumeric pun when read aloud. Refocusing, the AUDIO 4 DJ provides four inputs and four outputs with the same audio quality as ocho. It's also smaller, and it doesn't cost as much. MEGA-BONUS! As for those inputs we were just talking about, it's got two stereo inputs which software-switchable phono preamps and two regular RCA ins, giving DJs all the connectivity they'd normally need.
The new DJ interface also features 24-bit / 96 kHz audio converters built by Cirrus Logic for clear, sunny highs and powerful bass response. Its high-gain output stages deliver a whopping +10 dBu signal with extra headroom. Less than four milliseconds of low-latency operation makes for precise, responsive and reliable performance. It provides a ground point for your turntable
and an adjustable headphone out for your monitoring needs, and all of your inputs and outputs are paired up with signal level LEDs. The icing on the cake is that the interface is bus-powered because I can't even begin to tell you how much I absolutely detest AC adapters. I just hate 'em.
What makes AUDIO 4 DJ more than just an interface is the included TRAKTOR LE software. That makes it a "full-featured DJ system." If it's features were that full, however, NI wouldn't have to offer users a sweet discounted upgrade to TRAKTOR PRO.
