TRAKTOR 3 has four fully-featured playback decks: Drop in additional loops and samples, or mix four tracks at once. The integrated 4-channel club mixer is highly flexible, allowing effects to be inserted on each channel individually. External turntables, CD-players and hardware effects can be patched seamlessly into the setup - the possibilities of this virtual DJ platform are endless.

The prestigious Xone:92™ club mixer has been perfectly emulated with the support of Allen & Heath. Its excellent 4-band EQ gives incredible depth to your mix. The cross-fader assignable filters offer unique and innovative frequency-based mixing possibilities, bringing a completely new feel to your sets. Five professional tempo-synched effects and four high-end EQ's all give your sound a distinctive flavor.
Integrated Beatport Access
TRAKTOR 3 also boasts direct integrated access to the Beatport Online Music Store, allowing you to browse their extensive catalogue, pre-listen and buy hot new tracks and download them directly into your library - and all this is possible from within the TRAKTOR 3 browser.
Perfect Setup
The user interface works on a completely flexible and dynamic principle. Toggle individual control groups on and off, arrange secondary functions and displays for an optimum use of space. The new Messages Window automatically displays short explanations for the active function. Whatever the situation, TRAKTOR 3 always lets you know exactly what is happening, so you can concentrate on the mix.
TRAKTOR SCRATCH Compatibility: In the future, TRAKTOR 3 will be fully controllable via vinyl or CD control for users of TRAKTOR SCRATCH. A free TRAKTOR 3 update will be available to all TRAKTOR 3 owners approximately in September.

Four Decks

Cause And Effect
Included in TRAKTOR 3 are five innovative, tempo-synched DJ-effects created by leading sound designers: Delay, Reverb, Flanger, Beatmasher and LFO-assignable filters.
The effects can be inserted into each channel individually, used as a master effect or even in combination with external mixers to process signals from the soundcard inputs!
The unique new Beatmasher tool allows soft as well as radical manipulations of loops within your tracks – delivering as much mayhem as you need.

Search, pre-listen and purchase the latest club music in various digital formats from the leading dance music online store and download it directly into the TRAKTOR database – even during your set. Within seconds the hottest new tracks are in your library and ready to be mixed. Buying and mixing tracks are seamlessly combined in a single application for the first time ever!
Access is easy: Just go online and select "Beatport" in the TRAKTOR Track-Browser – immediately the Beatport website appears in the TRAKTOR database window – no need to use any other browser.
Professional 4-channel DJ Mixer emulation
The heart of TRAKTOR 3 is an excellent emulation of the ground-breaking Allen&Heath Xone:92 4-channel club mixer. In direct cooperation with Allen&Heath nearly all the features and the sonic properties of this mixer have been implemented in the software.
The TRAKTOR mixer offers a customizable crossfader curve, excellent EQs and cross-fader assignable filters, pre- and post-EQ monitoring, LFOs and so much more.
Additionally, the Xone:92™ equalizer can be swapped with two other equalizers offering features and sonic characteristics.
Alternatively, all four channels can be used to process external signals from the soundcard.
Interactive Waveform Displays
Pioneering mouse modes turn TRAKTOR 3's waveform displays into advanced control surfaces, offering DJs unparalleled interaction with the track. The pointer snaps to beats and cue-points, while the zoom level can be simultaneously adjusted with the scroll wheel.
Jump from one part of the track to another directly from within the waveform or use the Search Loop feature to easily find the desired part of a track - and all without slipping out of time.
Right-clicking directly in the waveform allows you to start or stop the track.
Database
TRAKTOR's extensive database functions make it easy to manage your music. Use the Quick Search features to instantly find the track you are looking for or just browse through your entire library. 'Bookmarks' enable fast access to 12 of your favourite folders. Pre-listen tracks directly in the database or your playlist and then load them into a deck with a simple click. Or access the Beatport website from within the TRAKTOR browser and download new tracks.
Dynamic Control Surfaces
TRAKTOR 3's dynamic interface automatically adapts to every situation. The TRAKTOR interface is fully modular and resizable, so it can be customized to suit various needs and applications. Maximize the browser to find a track, minimize it when mixing in the next. Hide effects or the entire mixer when using an external controller. Shortcuts can be assigned to switch between customized views and setups on-the-fly.
Advanced features and expert functions are displayed in a separate details section. The Message Window provides helpful information on all functions as you are using them.
Recording
Record a set, edit it and re-mix sections at a later date and then export it to an audio file – all with the patented, non-destructive TRAKTOR Native Mix technology. The History function automatically notes which tracks you played when in your set.
Additionally, you can record signals on the fly from the audio inputs, load them into a deck and mix them back into your set.
MIDI control
The convenient MIDI implementation supports multiple MIDI interfaces and controllers and makes it totally easy to assign the various knobs, buttons and faders. MIDI configurations for a particular controller can be stored and exchanged with other users. Or use keyboard shortcuts to control certain functions.
Working with TRAKTOR SCRATCH and AUDIO 8 DJ
The TRAKTOR 3 update will bring full compatibility with the brand-new TRAKTOR SCRATCH DJ system, meaning TRAKTOR 3 will be fully controllable using vinyl or CD decks.
TRAKTOR 3 is also ideal in combination with AUDIO 8 DJ- the audio interface designed especially for DJs spinning digital. Hook up all four TRAKTOR 3 decks to an external mixer using AUDIO 8 DJ or add MIDI controllers, mics or other hardware in to the mix

Architecture

Advanced Mouse Control
- Mouse over highlights for all GUI elements
- Each knob and fader has incremental zones (+/-) with adjustable step size and mouse scroll wheel support.
- Two mouse-button support for incrementing and decrementing on the same area/part of a knob
- Knobs and faders can be momentarily decoupled from their parameter via right click, for triggering sweeps of pre-selected amounts -> select a value without audible changes, then activate new value
- Use tempo-quantized jumps to browse through the track overview stripe without drifting out of time (numerically displayed in bars) -> Move the mouse in the waveform to jump forward or backward without losing the groove
- When hovering over the waveform the mouse pointer snaps to full beats and cue points.
- The zoom factor of the waveform is controllable with the mouse scroll wheel.
- Mouse scratch transmission scales with the selected zoom factor
- Stutter Mode repeats the clicked position of the song, dragging the mouse allows to fine tune the position of the loop, releasing the mouse sets a cue point.
- In addition to pitch bending, beat offsets can be corrected by adjusting the phase between the beats with a slider
