STANTON FINALSCRATCH VINYL RECORDS - SCRATCH & STANDARD

WORKS WITH FINALSCRATCH 1.1 THROUGH FINALSCRATCH 2

STANTON RELEASES NEW FINALSCRATCH® VINYL RECORDS!

FS Records are real vinyl records pressed with time code instead of music. Available in Standard (thick) and Scratch (thin) versions, both are compatible with FinalScratch 2.0/1.5 and include new lead-in grooves for more accurate cueing (FinalScratch 1.0 users should use FS 1.0 records). As with any vinyl record, the more you play them the faster they wear out, so make sure you have plenty of FS Records on hand!

Stanton announced a new version of its FinalScratch® Records. These special time-coded records are an improved version of the previous "Thin" (Scratch) and "Thick" (Standard) vinyl records, which let DJs manipulate digital audio files from turntables using FinalScratch hardware and software. The main difference between the old records and the new version is that time-code is now pressed at the very beginning of each track (the "lead-in" grooves) for better tracking and response.

With the release of Stanton FinalScratch 2, Stanton and Native Instruments introduced a new feature called "Lead-In Graphics." This graphic displays the amount of time that must pass before the needle reaches the start of the audio file. When used with the new FinalScratch records, users can get a true visual representation of where the needle is in relationship to the start of the track. This is because time-code is now pressed in the lead-in grooves. One benefit is a significant reduction of audio hiccups when a track starts, since the needle has more time to calibrate to the timecode. And if the needle were to skip, users can see exactly where in the audio file the needle ends up instead of having to wait for the timecode to re-calibrate.

This record's thicker weight makes it ideal for club and mix DJs who need more accurate control while mixing and beat-matching. The Standard record also features both 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM time code signals to accommodate any mixing style. The 33 1/3 RPM side has 15 minutes of time code while the 45 RPM side has 12 minutes. Visual cue markers make it easy to drop loops when using FS 2.0's new Loop Pool feature.

Specifications

Side A: 1 track of 15 min. @ 33 RPM with 15 x 1 min. stripes (for cueing)
Side B: 1 track of 12 min. @ 45 RPM with 15 x 48 sec. stripes (for cueing)

Weight: 180 grams

With its lightweight design and innovative cue marks, the FS Scratch record is the perfect choice for hip-hop and scratch DJs. Side A features 15 minutes of continuous time code with a crossover spacer cut at 1-minute intervals. This allows DJs to visually cue minute-by-minute into each track without having to reference the FinalScratch screen, or instantly load up to 15 loops using FS 2.0's Loop Pool feature.

Side B features two tracks with five minutes of time code each (without crossover spacers), plus a 5-minute track with crossover spacers every 30 seconds for quick needle dropping during scratching and battling. Both sides are pressed at 33 1/3 RPM.

Specifications

Side A: 1 track of 15 min. @ 33 RPM with 15 x 1 min. stripes (for cueing)
Side B: 3 tracks of 5 min. each @ 33 RPM. Track 3 has 10 stripes of 30 sec. (for cueing)

Weight: 125 grams
